I have a background pre-motherdom in drama development at Film Four and before that as a film editor on BBC and independent productions. I’ve run workshops in creative writing for MA students, and worked 1-1 with students on their final project, as well as being a Film on Four credited script editor. I’m also completing a practice-led PhD at Goldsmiths University on cinematic screenwriting.

Give me 15 pages + a ONE PAGE synopsis – (ideally the first pages of the script, unless this is a follow up to an earlier session).
I will then give you uncompromising no frills feedback/set of questions to consider, bluntly pointing out if your project needs surgery – and even some examples of how to heal those wounds. (The 1 page synopsis is essential to allow this level of feedback.)

I completed an MA in Screenwriting (Distinction), and my first short script in 2021 was inspired by my mum’s early stage dementia. I wrote and produced that short film that has been accepted into numerous festivals and placed in many – including an Honourable Mention at the London International Film Festival. The film is the ‘antidote to The Father‘ because, like most of my work, I make people laugh whilst exploring challenging subjects.
I am an alumni of Stowe Narrative Lab and the Nostos writing retreats. During a PhD at Goldsmiths I’ve written a cinematic horror (now optioned by a UK production company) and am re-imagining that as a binaural immersive audio series, and have written and produced a binaural 15 minute audio drama (2 award nominations) with a local Sussex crew of collaborators, and also made a short proof of concept horror (award-winning) short film. Although screenwriting is my focus, I also need to get stuff made, because I learn so much and it improves my writing.
My life experiences reflect the stories of ‘invisible’ audiences who are currently not adequately represented – whether diverse through age, gender or disability. As for the writers I support – their work ranges from comedy to thriller to biopic.
