Please take note of the following before listening:

  • Please wear headphones or earbuds to appreciate the immersive binaural experience (otherwise it’s like trying to appreciate a painting whilst wearing dark sunglasses)

A young gangster enrages his transphobic Gangland Boss when he ‘comes out’ as non-binary.

A binaural immersive audio – it’s like you are ‘inside’ the drama! Make sure you wear earpods/headphones to listen.

Nb. This audio drama discusses suicide and gender-based violence, which some people might find distressing.

“Coming from the world of film and TV, I’m a recent convert to ‘sonic cinema’ (as I call it) working specifically on location recorded binaural audio (yep, I know sane people just record stereo and ‘do it all in post’ – but it just doesn’t FEEL the same!)

Now I want to write and produce a full series based on my horror screenplay Wild Camping. (Suzy Miller, Writer/Producer)

  1. Thank you for listening. Please share what you enjoyed or most surprised you when listening (with headphones/earpods only – please don’t comment otherwise.)

    Suzy

  2. Marvellous writing, direction and production. I’ve enjoyed a few ‘immersive’ audio dramas in recent years (some from the BBC), and this one is right up there. Clever use of binaural sound production only goes as far as the quality of the story, and this is all excellent.
Will be looking forward to your future works!

  3. Loved hearing this come to life! Very exciting to recognise the different voices and put a mental picture together without help from our eyes 🙂

The depth and surrounding of the sound kept it sonically interesting as the story unfolded… I also loved the repeating motifs of the noose (though at first i mistook it for a tree frog haha) and the butterfly! Listened to it in both noise cancelling headphones and the more generic flimsier type and was able to stay attentive (though i had the luxury of a quiet environment)..

I can totally imagine people listening to binaural fictional content as deeply engaged as we watch films and to be honest, the intrigue of deciphering where the voices come from and move made me want to close my eyes and focus even more, so I feel like this could be a medium that cures our short attention spans rather than being a ‘background sound’ to daily task… sure am lucky I wasn’t driving a car :))

Very happy to have seen Suzy in her exploration stages of binaural and am so lucky to hear it be finished and sounding so good!!!

  4. Really impressive. A totally new experience for me. I felt if very strongly, as if the characters were here sharing space in the living room of my house.
